We have a secretary, five administrators and ten receptionists who are here to help you and are pleased to do so but their jobs are quite demanding so please be patient. We aim to treat our patients promptly and in complete confidence and to provide personal and continuing medical care. You may on occasions be asked for medical information in order for them to assist you e.g. when you are asking for a home visit. All information given to a member of staff will be treated in confidence as all staff is bound by the same code of conduct as the doctors and nurses.
The district nurse team attached to the practice for Wandsworth patients is based at Balham Park Surgery and their telephone number is (020 8772 8686) and for Lambeth patients are based at Streatham Hill and their number is (0203 049 4002).
They are all trained nurses qualified to practice at an advanced level in the community. They meet regularly with the doctors and provide high quality nursing and health care.
A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
Their direct telephone number is 020 8767 0193. A health visitor who is based at the Streatham Hill Primary Care Centre (020 8243 2233) sees the Lambeth children and parents.
We have part time clinical psychologists who are based at the main surgery but sees patients who have been referred by the doctors at both sites.
A physiotherapist from St George’s Hospital sees patients from both sites at the main surgery on Monday, Tuesday and Friday afternoons.
